« My favorite artist is Claude Monet »

Yumi Masuda, Japanese

“I'm a student and I'm learning French because I would like to work in a French company later on. I already took French classes for 3 month's in Tokyo before coming to France to study French. My favorite artist is Claude Monet. I really like his style. His paintings are really beautiful.”

Ludmilla Timchenko, Russian

“I love France and the French language. My goal is to study at the Sorbonne. I really like impressionist painters, the technique and colors used by them. It's my favorite period in art. I especially appreciate Monet and Renoir.”

Kwigi Yoo, Japanese

“I'm learning French in Paris because my girlfriend is French. Impressionism is very well known in Japan. I really like the colors, all in harmony, used by the artists of this period. You immediately understand Claude Monet's works. That's why I prefer Picasso whose paintings make you think more.”

Hiromi Tanaka, Japanese

I'm learning French because I'd like to find a job as an interior decorator in Paris. 8 years ago I already worked as an interior decorator in Lyon. One of my favorite museums is the Orangerie in the Tuileries garden. The impressionist period is very important in art. But, I prefer contemporary architecture and above all works by Le Corbusier and Jean Nouvel.”

Cahide Adsay, Turkish

“I really like Paris. Spelling and pronunciation in French are much different than in Turkish. where you pronounce everything you write. I like Claude Monet's works and the colors he used. Looking at Monet's art makes me feel good. But, my favorite artist is Picasso.”
