This year marks France Langues’ 33rd anniversary and we are proud to say that tens of thousands of students from over 80 countries have learned French with us since 1976. France Langue fully adheres to the ideas of OIF, the International Organization of French-speaking Communities, which are to spread the wealth of the French language. OIF regroups 53 states and government members on the 5 continents of the world.
The French-speaking community is unique in the fact that its goals are to share the wealth of the French language, an important communicative tool, that should be developed to its highest potential within the French speaking community and on an international level.
French is an international language used in international organizations and European institutions. OIF has put in place programs to expand the use of the French language within the United Nations and to expand its use within European institutions.
Did you know that French is spoken by 180 million people on 5 continents? That French is in fact the second language studied by 82.5 million people in the world?
